Apply Once, Access a Global Network

MIT SCALE uses a consolidated admissions process for all residential and blended master’s programs. With a single application, prospective students can be considered for multiple centers across the global network. Applicants are encouraged to explore each center’s unique offerings and choose the locations and formats that best align with their goals.

Master's Programs in SCM Applicant Profiles

MIT SCALE residential master's degrees are optimized for early-career supply chain, operations, and business professionals who wish to advance their skills and training in an intensive graduate program. Our graduates re-enter the workforce with more responsibility and a higher salary. 

For the residential programs, applicants should have:

• A bachelor's degree in a related or relevant field
• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience*
• College-level training in analytical thinking and problem solving
• Demonstrable training in college-level calculus, probability, and statistics

*five years of professional work experience is preferred.
 

The blended/accelerated programs are an alternate pathway to a master's in SCM for non-traditional students who may not have a professional background in the supply chain. Applicants must have earned the MIT MicroMaster's credential in Supply Chain Management before applying to the master's programs.

Application Timeline and Deadlines for the Master's Programs:

The online application for admission opens in September for students hoping to matriculate in the fall or spring of the following academic year. Please read the master's program application requirements and instructions before starting your online application. 

*Note that blended/accelerated application requirements are slightly different than the requirements for the residential programs. 

Residential Master's: 

Applications for all 10-month residential master's programs are for fall term enrollment, with orientation and classes beginning in August.

The application for admission opens in September and residential programs have three admissions rounds each year beginning in the fall:

• Round 1 Deadline: October 31, 2025
• Round 2 Deadline: January 30, 2026
• Round 3 Deadline: March 31, 2026*

*MIT SCALE Centers in Spain and the UK may accept applications on a rolling basis after the round 3 deadline.

Blended/Accelerated Master's: 

SCALE applications for blended master's programs (SCMb & ZLOGb) are for spring term enrollment, with on-campus classes beginning in January. Application deadlines for the blended/accelerated programs are as follows:

• Round 1 Deadline: Application deadlines for this program will be announced shortly
• Round 2 Deadline: Application deadlines for this program will be announced shortly

All students are encouraged to apply early while slots are still available. It is also wise to apply early if we ask you to take a remedial math class or re-take qualifying exams. We also strongly encourage international students to apply in Round I or Round II to allow more time for visa processing.

How to Apply

The application process is designed to be straightforward and transparent. At a high level, applicants will:

1. Review program requirements to confirm eligibility
2. Prepare application materials, including transcripts, resume/CV, and statement of purpose
3. Submit the online application through the admissions portal
4. Complete any additional steps (interviews, supplemental materials) if requested
5. Receive an admissions decision after the round deadlines
6. Blended program applicants should note that requirements differ slightly from residential pathways.
